Guidelines for Gymnasts and Parents

Bank Holidays: Please note that there will be no gymnastics on bank holiday weekends’ as we do not have the facility of the hall.

Attendance: Gymnasts should arrive 5 minutes in advance of their class. This will ensure that they are present for the “warm up” which is very important for their participation in ensuing activities.

What to wear: Loose comfortable clothing should be worn in class i.e. leotard & tracksuits or leggings/shorts & t-shirts. No jewellery permitted in class. Please note that club gear – leotards, tracksuits, sweatshirts and t-shirts are available to purchase. Please ask coaches for details.

Parents: Entrance to the hall by parents, relatives or friends is strictly forbidden once class has commenced. It is extremely important that we have the gymnasts’ full attention and concentration at all times. Gymnasts need to develop self-confidence and trust with their coaches. You will be informed of dates of displays where you will see your child’s progress in due course.

Responsibility & Care: North County Gymnastics Club takes full responsibility for all gymnasts while in its care. However, this responsibility begins and ends with class time. Neither North County Gymnastics club, nor its coaches are responsible for children awaiting collection after class. In case of our younger gymnasts, we ask that parents/guardians will make the necessary arrangements to ensure they arrive 5 minutes before class ends.

North County Gymnastics Club encourage an interactive approach to educating our young people in the principle of fun, teamwork and personal development, while providing the fundamental building blocks for gymnastics and general fitness.
